We typically have these main considerations when we look to size a ferrite ring: 1. The wire diameter used. Typically the wire is wrapped through the ring a few times for best noise filtering so the inner diameter must be able to handle the wire gauge. 2. The frequency range that you are trying to filter out. This will be dependent on the inductance of the ring. 3. The current capacity of the ring. Each ring has a specific saturation current as which point the ferrite's peak impedance starts to reduce. This can also cause increased heating For your application, you would need to look at these factors to be sure to have the best solution. Ferrite rings are a low cost way to filter out EMC noise. Most times these help but best option is the KEB E6 EMI filter.

@@KEBAmerica Thank-you. I am installing a VFD, with output 380v, 50hz, max 10A. I do not have any noise sensitive equipment nearby, but wanted to consider EMF during my build.

Thanks for your comment. After review, It could be that the software version of the parameter list is different than the drive you are connected to. Parameters are added in later versions of the software. It could be that the list you have is from an older version so op61 and 62 did not exist in that version. Without knowing more about your application and specific hardware and software versions it's difficult to give you a definitive solution, but this is a logical reason for the missing OP61 and OP62.

@ although it's an older model (f5) it has op61 and 62 because that is for forward and reverse action. when i do a complete parameter backup those two will not show up on the parameter backup list. do something with your lineup, i know I'm a nobody but i refuse to believe that a vfd needs 3950 parameters. because of this i am choosing a competitors product.

Thanks for your comment. The Edge router can publish data without COMBIVIS Connect. It is not used to publish data. However, you will need to use COMBIVIS Studio HMI to configure MQTT settings and setup tags to publish to AWS.

If you have information on these claims we would be interested to see. Browsing around I can't find any switch with a port-to-port latency of 4ns. Just because a switch has low latency doesn't mean the network can actually achieve those numbers. There are a lot of factors that go into port-to-port latency. Thank you for your comment.

It has to do with energy. When a VFD is using energy to turn a motor then the energy is being used for rotational motion in the motor. When a motor is turning by itself due to a load turning the motor due to gravity then energy is going from the motor back to the VFD. Energy needs to be dissipated to a braking resistor if a line regen unit is not installed. If a braking resistor gets too hot there is a possibility of components melting or even catching something on fire. This is why having the correct size braking resistor and a VFD with protection functions is essential for safe operation.

@@KEBAmerica thanks But there is meny of same machin 150 number witch works in same condition and situation just one of them is hot. I have cheked all of wireing and connections and motor but appearantly there is no problem !
